How long does the battery last and is it replaceable?

MyTag Bluetooth Tracker batteries typically last 6-12 months.  Each battery is a simple lithium coin cell battery, and you can easily replace it when it expires.  They are available from supermarkets and convenience stores for $1-$2 each. 


The battery you need depends on the model: 


  • MyTag Classic - CR2016
  • MyTag Sport - CR2032
  • MyTag Edge - CR2032
  • MyTag Style - CR2025


Just a note on button cell batteries.  PLEASE DISPOSE OF THEM CAREFULLY.  Even spent batteries can injure or kill if swallowed or inserted into the body.  If you suspect anyone has swallowed or inserted a coin cell battery from any appliance - immediately take that person to the Emergency Department of your nearest Hospital.
